AHA BLS Instructor's Renewal

The AHA BLS Instructor Renewal Course is designed to refresh and update current AHA BLS instructors on the latest guidelines and techniques for teaching basic life support skills. The course is a 3-hour session that includes skills demonstration, review of teaching materials, and Q&A with faculty.

To complete the renewal process, instructors must schedule a BLS skills demonstration or a renewal course and coordinate with their facility to monitor or contact faculty for instructions on how to send a recording prior to their renewal. In some cases, the renewal can become a portion of the monitoring by the faculty.

Instructors are required to submit their original instructor's essentials or purchase essentials at checkout. After completing the course, instructors should allow 3-5 business days to receive their updated instructor's card from the training center.

Participants should come prepared with any questions they may have to present to the faculty. It is important to note that if instructors have not been monitored by faculty while teaching an AHA course within the discipline they are renewing, they will not be able to complete the application process for renewal with the training center.

Participants are required to submit rosters that equal four classes to Robinlewis@cprrus.com, along with their instructor essentials if they are not already on file. In addition, instructors must submit a current BLS provider's card that can be issued to themselves from their own e-card bank.

For further questions or clarifications, participants are encouraged to call 314-274-8700 ext 1005 or email Robinlewis@cprrus.com.
